Dr Kumaran Thevan

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Berkshire Healthcare Trust and GOSH

Dr Thevan is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - a medical doctor trained and specialising in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders.

He has been working within the NHS for over 10 years and currently is a Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital and CAMHS Consultant in Windsor, Slough and Maidenhead.

His work is primarily based on assessing children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism and Aspergers, Tourettes, OCD, Psychosis and Bipolar disorder, Anxiety disorders and Depression.

Dr Thevan read Medicine at Barts & The London Medical School, intercalating a Biomedical Sciences Degree at Queen Mary University, He completed his Royal College of Psychiatry membership while on rotation at UCLH and Whittington Hospital and higher training at Great Ormond St and Royal London Hospitals. Dr Thevan has an interest in neuropsychiatry as well as the effects of War on Children, earning a distinction in MSc War & Psychiatry at Kings College, London, and undertaking Child & Adolescent Mental Health work in Uganda.
