I enjoy teaching and researching all aspects of criminology, although I have a particular interest in issues around ethnicity, crime and justice.
My research interests include gangs and serious youth violence, young Black males and crime, policing and Black communities and Youth Justice, and for my PhD, I conducted a cross-generational study exploring the experiences of and attitudes towards crime and crime control amongst Black residents from an inner city neighbourhood.
