Eleanor Prescott

Novelist and former entertainment PR

Eleanor Prescott grew up in Bromley, where she tried to be a goth but her mum and dad wouldn’t let her. She trotted off to Manchester University to read literature and creative writing, convinced she’d graduate a million-selling authoress with a trophy actor boyfriend. She graduated single, to sell pants in Knickerbox.

A year and lots of undercrackers later she got her first job in media. She worked her way up the ladder until she landed a job at MTV. She spent 7 years working in the press office promoting shows like ‘The Osbournes’ and hurtling around backstage at various MTV events. Eventually she went freelance and worked on the PR for a book awards ceremony, where her husband got drunk and started chatting up a blonde. The blonde turned out to be a publisher, and the husband was let off the hook.

Eleanors’ second novel is due out next year.
