Emma is a Children's Author, Freelance Writer and Postgraduate based in Yorkshire, UK. She completed a BA degree in Religious Studies at Leeds Trinity University.

After graduation Emma moved to Seoul, South Korea. Here, she worked for a language institute that encouraged equal opportunities for North Korean refugees.

Upon her return to the UK Emma was granted a scholarship for her postgraduate studies at The University of Leeds. Her special interests include North Korean culture, religion and politics, new religious movements, and postmodern themes.

Her first children's book: Fly Guys: Monday Madness focuses on important issues of equality, difference and diversity.

In her spare time Emma writes book reviews for academic journals. She is also interested in East Asian culture, music, science fiction and writing poetry. She often attends gigs and conventions.
