Communications Executive for @practicalaction

I'm a former journalist and I'm now a Communications Executive at international development charity Practical Action.
My blogging is about sharing tips on living and giving the good life. I'm trying to live a more sustainable life and a lot of my blogs are about reusing and recycling, growing and making stuff.

Living “the good life” for me relates to the simple pleasures that make you happy, the compassionate deeds you perform, the personal goals you strive to achieve, the relationships you nurture and the legacy you leave behind. But the real key for me to living the good life lies in helping others.

I recently went to see the work Practical Action does in Africa and came across the most dire poverty imaginable. It was a poignant moment in my life. Since then, I’ve built my life around giving back whenever I can and raising awareness of the people in this world who were dealt a rubbish hand and are trying desperately to make something of it.
