Gideon Shmuel joined eyeSight as CEO in 2011, where his focus centers on developing sensing solutions to improve our daily lives and how computer vision-based gesture control and user awareness is the future of smart homes, car experiences and other digital devices. Before joining eyeSight, Gideon spent more than 20 years in the Telecom and Enterprise Software industries, where his focus was on sales and enterprise development. He has been involved in delivering complex solutions in growing technology organizations as well as running and establishing the business activities and operations of several companies across international markets. Most recently, Gideon performed the role of Vice President of Sales at cVidya Networks. Prior to that, he held a number of executive roles, in a number of countries, including at Olista, Top Image Systems, LCR Telecom and Esprit Telecom. Gideon holds a B.A. from the College of Management in Israel and an M.A. in Marketing Management from Middlesex University in England.

There are various layers within a house that serve a specific purpose, and when combined they create what we call a "home." For example, some are meant to keep us secure and comfortable (i.e. the door we lock, indoor security cameras, air conditioning and lighting), while some are meant to entertain us (i.e. TVs and sound systems) or simply maintain us (i.e. food in our refrigerators and the roof above our heads).
