Head of policy and research at the National Deaf Children's Society

Ian is the head of policy and research at the National Deaf Children’s Society. He develops information for families and professionals on the needs of deaf children and young people whilst also engaging with parliamentarians to raise awareness of their needs. He has worked at the National Deaf Children's Society for the past seven years and prior to this he was a policy adviser for HM Treasury. Being deaf himself Ian actively campaigns on issues affecting deaf people and he is also a Trustee for Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.
