On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend Moschino Cheap & Chic's first ever show at LFW and put on a show they did. Housed at a beautiful building on Portland Place, on arrival a glass on champagne was placed in my hand and I made my way into a room that had been decorated with an array of beautiful blooms, neon lips and several movie star make-up mirror areas where models were getting preened for the show. Seated in director's chairs that bared the collection's fun-pun slogan 'Make up your Life' on the back or 'Smile, Talk, Kiss, Drink, Laugh, Eat' this was a lovely touch giving the attendees a feeling of being backstage. The cornicing and chandeliers on the ground floor were sensational too...

...As we made our way into the black and white chequerboard tiled hallway a rainbow neon installation echoed the 'Smile, Laugh, Talk, Drink, Shout, Eat, Kiss' of the chairs - very cool. And up the sweeping staircase to the first floor and the intimate catwalk complete with macaroon shade seating and more exquisite chandeliers and don't get me started about the baby blue walls with white baroque detailing. I want to live in a house like this {one can but dream}. The show soundtrack was provided by a live acoustic performance from Lianne La Havas of 'Forget'. Dressed in pieces from the collection we were about to see - what a lovely surprise! Alexa Chung was FROW wearing a beaut pair of J.W. Anderson paisley print pants, as well as a host of super stylists, editors and bloggers...

...and onto the show, a playful winter pastel palette reigned with a particular leaning towards nude shades, makeup references as print protagonist, patchwork panel lace, a textural fabric mix of rainbow furs, crochet, maxi sequin pailettes and fun liquorice allsort-esque make up prints. Glitter pouts / smiles and bouffant beehives completed the modern fifties feeling models beauty look. For me this is a brand that is so suited to showing in London, with it's kooky, quirky cool - let's hope they are here to stay...

Anyone who knows me well will be aware of my mild obsession with edible glitter. However it seems glitter is so last year with this new make-food-glisten-like-gold contender. Step forward 'Food Finish' from The Deli Garage {as featured on my blog back in October http://thebijouxeditrix.blogspot.com/2011/10/gilded-gourmet.html }.

In essence an edible {tasteless & harmless - although E number laden} metallic spray paint that you can use on food. What a GENIUS idea. Gold 'plated' apple anyone?....

Why stop there, how about a gilded turkey on Christmas day, an 'actual' golden goose perhaps? I would so love to see my Dad's face if I managed to pull that one out of the 'oven' on the 25th.

After testing the gold food varnish spray on a Thanksgiving dessert I made {toasted pecan flourless chocolate cake below} I have to say the results are actually pretty amazing and their really is no weird synthetic taste or change in texture etc. Just the rather decadent feeling that you are eating a slice of chocolate flavour gold. So whether it's chrome carrots, silver sausages or a gold plated mince pie for dessert, get creative cooking the Christmas dinner this year and who knows you may even be able to disguise the dreaded brussels sprout.

Versace fever hit the high street last week with the launch of Donatella's collection for H&M. If you couldn't get to the selected stores that stocked the collection and you are still feeling the Versace vibes come January then you will be pleased to hear that there is a second installment that will drop exclusively online on the 19th January 2012. So what's it like?...

...Think fruity floral prints (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and butterflies - oh my!) in blue lilac, candy pink and white, boudoir baby doll dresses that could easily work as nighties or day dresses if you like to dress up (rather than down) for bed, printed denim hot pants, white jeans with gold embroidered side seams, bikini's, ballet pumps, strappy sandals and alot more jewelry too - oh and did I mention the perfume?

Several months ago I had the pleasure of assisting my great friend Mr Wilde to shoot his new collection 'Vixen Kill! Kill!'. With previous collections including his debut 'Madame Boucherie' and the most recent 'Through with Love!' William has already garnered a host of celebrity clients including Rihanna {check out her S&M video}, Paloma Faith and Daisy Lowe, who wore his daisy adorned Beau Bra and Sindy Suspender Knix on the cover of September's Playboy magazine, in his own words - "my career highlight so far".

His exquisite latex outfits have also graced the cover of SuperSuper magazine as well as featuring in editorial in Dazed & Confused, Elle and Vogue India and been shot by Ellen Von Unwerth and Rankin to name but a few. So what is in store for his next offering...?

Inspired by Motorcycle sirens and Barbie-gone-bad, Vixen Kill! Kill!'s Go-faster stripes and neon studded panels are teamed with chain drapery and biker-style latex fringing says William, in a colour palette of hot pink, bright orange, silver and black.

Adding to his signature gingham print latex, {this season arriving in alert orange, fluoro pink and black}, come colour clash candy stripes in said pink and orange, a fluoro pink chevron studded corset, an asymmetric biker jacket dress as well as printed latex lingerie sets, more body-con mini dresses, pencil skirts, tops and bras accessorised with multi chain harnesses and studded mittens that complete the bikerette, rock-star stylings of this collection.

The new beautifully crafted latex clothing collection, modelled by William Wilde muse Stacey Massey and new face Lucy Frost will be available to buy online at www.williamwilde.com very soon.
