Global Head of Access to Medicine at Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Isabel Torres is the Global Head of Access to Medicine at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Since joining Takeda in May 2015, Isabel has been instrumental to the inception, development and launch of Takeda’s new Access to Medicines strategy. In that time, she has worked closely with healthcare professionals, experts, governments, and private and public partners to devise and implement a strategy designed to have the biggest possible impact on patients.

Isabel began her career at Merck Pharmaceuticals, after which she joined Sanofi to oversee the development and implementation of its Access to Medicines program. As part of this, she worked closely with supranational organizations along with governments across Africa, South-east Asia and Brazil to develop sustainable solutions to pandemics for patients most in need.
