Teessider, Chemical Industry Worker, Former Conservative Candidate

Jacob is a young, northern, former apprentice now working in the Petrochemical Industry.

He dropped out of college after a year, and decided to do an advanced apprenticeship in Chemical Processing. Jacob sucessfully completed his apprenticeship and now works as a Logistics Techincian for a global leader in petrochemicals, based in Redcar.

Jacob first became interested in politics shortly after the 2010 election. He joined the Conservative Party in 2012 and has been an active campaigner since then. Jacob was the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Redcar at the 2015 general election. At just 22, Jacob was one of the youngest candidates standing for parliament in 2015. Although unsuccessful, Jacob managed to increase both the share of the vote and number of votes cast.

Jacob has lived on Teesside all his life, he has a large family and is a member of his local church.
