Jameela Jamil TV and radio presenter, founder of Why Not People?

Jameela Jamil was the first female solo presenter of Radio 1’s iconic Official Chart – counting down the week’s Top 40 songs every Sunday on Radio 1 between 4-7pm.

Each week, during the Sunday evening Request Show Jameela would hand over the musical reigns to the Radio 1 listeners, playing host to all music requests bringing her edge to the glossy show with lots of gossip, chatter and style!

Best known for being one of T4’s most popular presenters Jameela has a wealth of broadcasting experience under her belt. She first started out on the E4 show Music Zone in 2008 and swiftly moved to T4 in 2009. She also co-hosted the TV show Freshly Squeezed with Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. Other TV credits include presenting music show Koko Pop, a fashion show called The Closet and most recently the reality game show Playing It Straight.
