I'm a writer and mother, studying for a Masters in Modern and Contemporary British History at Queen Mary University of London.
I studied History at the University of York and Writing at Falmouth College of Arts, where I won the Jane and David Cornwell Bursary and was shortlisted for the Vogue Talent Contest.
A part of my soul will always be a bookseller at Hatchard's of Piccadilly, although I left 8 years ago, when my son was born.
Since then I've been full-time at home with 2 children and part-time at the local library. I write all sorts of things and blog at www.happyfreecalm.wordpress.com - reflecting my life post marriage break-up, balancing being a parent with living my own life.
In September I'm starting a part-time MA in Modern and Contemporary British History at Queen Mary University of London.
