Jim Minton

Director of Membership and Communications at London Youth, a charity supporting and challenging young people to become the best they can be

Jim Minton joined London Youth in June 2012 as Director of Communications and Membership, overseeing engagement and support for hundreds of community youth organisations across the capital, as well as communications, fundraising and policy.

Jim has a background in strategic communications, marketing and policy development in the UK and overseas. He has worked in senior communications roles in government, covering immigration, crime and policing, in corporate social responsibility within the drinks industry and for a number of UK based voluntary organisations, including NCVO, Centrepoint and Shelter.

Jim is a board member of Studio 3 Arts, a fantastic community arts charity in Barking and Dagenham, and a former chair of governors for a community school for children with behavioural difficulties in East London. He has an MBA from London Business School, and a degree in English and Politics from the University of York.

His other interests are playing football and following Sunderland AFC, tennis, and creative writing.
