High school junior and an anti female genital mutilation activist
June Eric-Udorie is high school junior and an anti female genital mutilation activist originally from Nigeria but currently living in the UK. She is a member of Plan UK’s Youth Advisory Panel (YAP), a group of young people from across Britain that ensures the voices of young people remains at the heart of Plan’s work and sits on the Board of Trustees for the organization as a Board Youth Observer. She is also an FGM Ambassador for Plan UK where she advocates about women’s rights and the dangers of FGM in the UK. June is passionate about ending FGM and violence against women and girls and works to raise awareness of the practice in schools and her local community. When not otherwise engaged June can be found writing, fundraising or watching TED talks. She is a feminist, music enthusiast and book addict.
