Co-founder of amicable

Kate is co-founder of amicable which helps couples divorce amicably and successfully co-parent their children (founded with her friend Pip Wilson).

Kate has experienced a traumatic divorce first hand; an experience that led to the development of amicable, which help couples achieve a stress-free divorce that focuses on the positive futures of both parties. Before amicable Kate set up a relationship breakdown conciliation service called Family Change which helped people to communicate face-to-face with the prioritised aim of becoming effective co-parents. During this time Kate also worked with some of the UK’s leading collaborative divorce lawyers. These combined experiences led Kate to the conclusion that the system is broken. Too many families emerge from divorce damaged and scarred. amicable knows it can’t prevent divorce, but think it is a sad event not a bad event, with the focus being on people being able to move on successfully with their lives.
