Kevin Williams

Chief Executive of The Fostering Network

Kevin Williams is chief executive of The Fostering Network with significant experience of leading charities. Kevin has over thirty years’ experience as a social worker in a range of care settings for local authorities across England. He served a tenure as chair of the National Association of Fostering Providers from 2010-11, and on the editorial advisory board for Children and Young People Now. Kevin is a member of the expert reference group on mental health and looked after children and has been on a number of Government working groups. Kevin believes that foster care can redress the disadvantage that many children in foster care have experienced and, as as qualified teacher, he sees improved education outcomes in their widest sense as being key to this. Kevin is also keen to see an increase in societal understanding of the vital role of foster care in improving the outcomes of looked after children and society more generally.
