Lenny George

Organiser of Kernow In The City - London's annual celebration of Cornish music, art and culture

Cornishman born & bred, Lenny moved to London to work in the live music industry as agent and promoter and then moving into radio as an events producer. Firstly at XFM in the golden days when Ricky Gervais was the Saturday lunchtime turn and then onto Capital FM and Global Radio.

Much of this is a blur but dancing onstage with the Flaming Lips in a rabbit costume and bringing a cannon-firing pirate ship up the Thames through Tower Bridge stand out as particular highlights.

Passionate about many things but especially music, conservation and Cornwall, he set up the Kernow In The City event in 2010 to promote Cornish music, art and culture in London. This annual event is now in its 4th year at the Rich Mix Arts Centre, Shoreditch.

Lenny was also co-organiser of the successful Save The 100 Club campaign which led to Converse backing this legendary music venue and ensuring its survival into its 70th year.
