Louise Quinn

Singer, songwriter with A Band Called Quinn

Recently described by Scottish pop pundit Jim Gellatly as 'Scotland's Best Kept Secret' A Band Called Quinn have been quietly working away crafting & releasing their quirky brand of electro pop from the rooftop of a Glaswegian tenement. This hasn't prevented certain folk from noticing however. Madonna said singer 'Louis Quinn has a wonderful voice'; broadcaster Dominik Diamond said of their latest single Wolf Cries Boy, 'Wow! Another great song from a great Scottish band. Like the best song The Killers never wrote. Is there a more gorgeous voice in music than Louise Quinn's just now? Ace video and the most fantastic chorus I've heard anywhere in 2011'. Britain's best selling crime writer Ian Rankin described their live performance as 'Phenomonal' & wrote the sleevenotes for their last album.

Collaborating with up & coming Scottish director Uisdean Murray the video for Wolf Cries Boy recently received its first broadcast on NBC LA to an audience of 6 million viewers after Saturday Night Live and was described by The Sunday Mail as 'Little Red Riding Hood meets True Blood'.

Recent A Band Called Quinn have toured with award winning Scottish theatre company Vanishing Point; featurined on the soundtrack to films by David Mckenzie, Penny Woolcock & BBC3's Lip Service, and collaborated with Pippa Bailey and Ben Harrison on an exciting new performance piece.
