Luca Badetti

Exploring our shared human journey, holistically and inclusively

Luca Badetti, PhD in Disabilities Studies, is Director of Community Life at L'Arche Chicago, a community in which persons with and without intellectual disabilities share life together.

He integrates his experience in community with an holistic and interdisciplinary study of the human journey. Prior to his doctorate, he obtained a MS in Clinical Psychology and a BA in Theology with Philosophy studies.

Luca has done research at the Institute on Disability and Human Development (University of Illinois at Chicago), is on the Scientific Committee of the Erickson Disability Studies book series and is on the Advisory Committee of the Italian Journal of Disability Studies. He teaches at De Paul University's Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies department.

He has spoken at TEDx on "Embracing your (in)abilities!"
