Her career has been nothing short of meteoric, having watched ‘TheModel agency”- a Channel 4 documentary following Premier Model Management, her mother phoned the agency’s founder Carole White and from here she was on the model books.

The fashion world are smitten with Malaika, being deemed by Style.com  as ‘the most promising fresh face to emerge’ at New York Fashion Week with models.com describing her as one of the top 10 newcomers into the industry.

Malaika’s breakthrough came after being shot by Steven Meisel for the Prada Fall Winter 2013 Campaign (making her the first black model in 19 years to appear in the campaign since Naomi Campbell in 1995) as well as an appearance on the Prada runway modelling the resort collection.

Malaika has walked for designers including; Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Proenza schooler, Burberry, Christopher Kane, Johnathan Saunders, Topshop, Giles, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine and Miu Miu.

Malaika has appeared in campaigns for Burberry, Prada, Valentino and Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fragrance. Editorials include Vogue Paris, British Vogue, W Magazine, LOVE, Interview, AnOther, i-D and Wonderland.
