Marco La Malfa

Medical director at the Care UK-run Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre near Chesterfield, England.

Marco La Malfa undertook his medical education in Rome before relocating to Antwerp in Belgium where he completed his training in anaesthesia and intensive care. In 2004 he moved to the UK, working for the NHS and Department of Health in Essex, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and North Staffordshire.
He is currently medical director at the Care UK-run Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre near Chesterfield which provides a range of orthopaedic surgery such as hip and knee replacements for NHS patients in the South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire areas.
He is a member of the Belgian Association for Loco Regional Anaesthesia (Bara) and the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (Esra). To date Marco has presented his works and studies at the Esra Congresses (in Rome and in Porto), in New York at the Nysora Congress, as well as in Hungary and Kiev.
