Coordinator for Feedback's Gleaning Network UK - saving wonky veg from being wasted.

I'm the coordinator for Feedback’s Gleaning Network UK, setting up a national network of volunteers to harvest fruit and vegetables that otherwise would have been wasted on UK farms, and redistribute them to charities like FareShare. I am also one of the facilitators for This Is Rubbish, who create creative feasts and events campaigning to reduce supply chain food waste, and co-authored This Is Rubbish’s Counting What Matters report, calling for mandatory food waste audits in industry. I founded a chapter of Food Not Bombs in South East London after finding a copy of Tristram Stuart’s ‘Waste’ about to be thrown away as damaged stock in a bookshop. I studied an MSc in Globalisation and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies, writing my dissertation on food waste in India. I enjoy dressing up in wonky vegetable costumes and inventing bad food puns.
