Matt Pitt

Writer, blogger and political activist

Born in Germany, Matt was educated at King’s College and Keele University in Economics and International Politics after moving to the UK in 2006. Currently he is working as a Researcher for the Labour party and occasionally blogs for LabourList.org and leftfootforward.org in his spare time. He has a particular affection for travelling and is hoping to tour Latin America in the near future and report about the role of women within the political sphere in the different countries and cultures from a left-leaning viewpoint. Until that day of departure arrives, Matt is dedicated to continue campaigning for greater fairness and equality of opportunity in his local constituency of Battersea. He has also written a chapter on the need for a British Investment Bank in the book “What next for Labour” and hopes to contribute further to the ongoing discussion of the role of the state in society.
