General Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union
Originally from Manchester, Matt Wrack joined the London Fire Brigade in 1983, working in Silvertown Fire Station in Newham, and Kingsland Fire Station in Hackney. In 1984, he was elected a branch secretary, and from 1988 served as a member of the union's London Regional Committee. In 2005, he was elected general secretary of the national union. He lives in Leytonstone with his family.
