Disability & Autism Rights Activist and Writer on Disability Issues
Matt Bond is a representative of disabled students and disabled people. As well as his work with NUS he represents disabled people on the national committee of the National Campaign Against Fees And Cuts and also leads a local disability rights group in Sheffield. Matt graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a 2.1 in Education & Disability Studies and before this he attended Hereward College for Disabled People in Coventry where he first began to construct a political identity as a disabled person since being diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at the age of fourteen. Matt has also been a media advocate for the National Autistic Society and a member of the United Kingdom Youth Parliament.
