Anti-poverty campaigner and Labour activist
Melanie Ward is an anti-poverty campaigner and Labour Party activist who lives in Fife, Scotland.
Melanie has worked for some of the UK’s biggest international poverty charities including Christian Aid and ActionAid, where she campaigned against tax dodging and for women’s rights. She has also worked as a human rights observer in the Middle East. Melanie is a former President of the National Union of Students Scotland. She has a degree from the University of Stirling and a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. She tweets @melanie_ward.
