After an early career as a teenage playwright and later as a writer for publications such as Rolling Stone and Life, Michael Thomas garnered critical praise for his feature screenwriting debut Countryman, followed by The Hunger starring David Bowie and Susan Sarandon. He went on to write Oscar-nominated Ladyhawke with Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfieffer, Scandal with Bridget Fonda and Backbeat with Stephen Dorff. His latest film is The Devil's Double starring Dominic Cooper as Uday Hussein and his fiday Latif Yahia.
