Scottish Labour MP from 1992 to 2015
Michael Connarty was a Scottish Labour MP from 1992 to 2015, first representing Falkirk East which became Linlithgow and East Falkirk. Michael has extensive political experience on Europe. In 1998, he became a member of the European Scrutiny Select Committe and was appointed Chair of the Committee from 2006–10. Michael furthered his European work and was appointed a UK Parliament representative on the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Spectator named him 'inquisitor of the year' and gave him award of the same title in 2007.
