Mike Hill

CEO, Higher Education Careers Services Unit and Graduate Prospects

Mike has been the Chief Executive at Graduate Prospects and its parent charity, the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, since February 2000. He graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Manchester in 1983, and studied for an MBA at Manchester Metropolitan in the mid-‘90s. He worked for Guardian Media Group before taking up his current role.

Mike is Chair of the National Association of Student Employment Services; a board member of the National Council for Work Experience, and of the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education (formerly National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship), which he co-founded with HM's Treasury. He was a member of the government's Graduate Employment Forum, and a member of various government taskforce groups considering ways to implement the recommendations of the Milburn Report on Social Mobility. He works closely with his equivalents in graduate recruitment in the USA, Australia and South Africa.

In his spare time, Mike is involved with junior football and is a qualified cricket coach, working with junior cricket teams in Manchester.
