Mike Brown

Managing Director, London Underground & London Rail

Mike Brown first joined London Underground in 1989 and worked in various operational manager roles before becoming the company's Chief Operating Officer in 2003. In 2008, he joined BAA with responsibility for running Heathrow, the world's busiest international airport. He rejoined London Underground as Managing Director in 2010, taking responsibility for the biggest programme of upgrades and renewal in the Tube's 150 year history, including some of the biggest and most complex engineering projects in Europe. The upgrade programme is being delivered, whilst the network carries record numbers of passengers and plays a crucial role in events such as last year's London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
