Ollie Peart

Writer, presenter and podcaster

A third blond, a third ginger and a third brown, Ollie Peart is a neapolitan of a man when it comes to hair colour, with a flavour for everyone. However, saying that Ollie is for everyone, is far from accurate. But mix all those flavours together, and that goopy mess left is a joyous, childish, yet logical conclusion to being offered three flavours in the first place.

Less confusingly, Ollie is a writer, presenter and podcaster.

His writing and presenting career kicked off with a stint on Epic TV. Asked to create a show for the online channel, Ollie decided poking fun at action sports was the way to go. Epic Guff was the title and it was a bi-monthly romp through the world of action sports, no holds barred. Ollie wrote, filmed, presented and edited the show, running for a series of 10 episodes.

From there, The Guardian online got in touch. Again, Ollie was asked to create a show for them, focussing on technology and the web. Together with the team, Please Accept Cookies was born, taking aim at everything from driverless cars, to the Apple Watch. This is where Ollie was approached by the podcast king, Olly Mann.

Olly Mann was developing a new podcast, The Modern Mann, and was looking for someone to take the listeners on a ride through the trends of the week. Ollie became “The Zeitgeist”, a segment which offered up weekly trends to an audience of 25,000. Having completed two series of the podcast, a third is in the pipeline with a potential live show to boot.

Ollie also co-presented alongside Tim Warwood and Adam Gendle in The Indestructibles, a 12 part series for Dave which was described by many critics as “The next Top Gear”. Each week the team would grab a world class athlete and try and create one epic stunt. Ollie was the voice of reason, attempting to keep the project on track while the others messed around.
The rest of Ollie’s time is taken up by walking his dog through the Dorset countryside, drinking coffee, vlogging, drumming, writing scripts and developing TV formats.
