Rachel Coombes

Oxford Music graduate, arts writer

Rachel Coombes graduated from Christ Church, Oxford, in Music in 2012, and is now studying for a postgraduate degree in History of Art at the University of Birmingham. During her time at Oxford, she was Music Editor of Cherwell, also contributing to its Arts & Books section. In the same year (2011), she was Music Director of Oxford Fashion Week, and conducted Christ Church orchestra. Since graduating, she continued to write about the arts, undertaking work experience placements with the Telegraph, Gramophone magazine, BBC Music Magazine, the Sunday Times and BBC1's The One Show. Before continuing her studies in September 2013, she spent three months working in a music school in the south of France, and is a self-confessed Francophile.
