Rachel McClary

Rachel McClary is an Early Education Consultant and blogs about all aspects of early education, play, child development and parenting young children at http://rightfromthestart.wordpress.com. Rachel is passionate about encouraging children to become creative, free thinkers and seeing children as competent and valued. She is influenced by the pre-schools of Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian Forest schools.

Her interests include early language and literacy, music, outdoor play and using new technology in early years classrooms to motivate boys literacy. She has worked for an early intervention programme for families with pre-school children on the autisitic spectrum and assisted nurseries in all aspects of caring for and teaching children with special educational needs.

Rachel currently lives in the US. In her spare time Rachel writes children's fiction.
