Rebecca Omonira-Oyenkanmi

Journalist and Board Member, Women's Budget Group

Rebecca is a reporter and writer living in London. Rebecca’s freelance work has been published by the Guardian, the New Statesman, the Washington Post, the New Internationalist, the Independent and others. She is currently writer in residence at Lacuna magazine, a human rights magazine based at the Centre for Human Rights in Practice at Warwick University. She has also worked as an editorial assistant and special correspondent at the Washington Post’s London office, and as a business journalist writing, editing and reporting on private finance initiatives for the Partnerships Bulletin magazine.

As well as her journalism, Rebecca is on the Board of the Women's Budget Group, a network of feminist economists, researchers, policymakers and trade unionists that scrutinise government economic and social policy.
