Young Greens Activist, Popular Music Academic, Cultural Ethnographer
Sam Murray is Yorkshire-based Young Greens Activist, standing for the party in the Wetherby Ward of Leeds City Council. He is also a popular music academic holding an MA in Popular Music Studies from Liverpool University and currently pursuing a PhD into the use of music as a resource within the Portland, Oregon Music Scene.
In his spare time Sam is the clarinettist of roots group Me and My Friends who regularly tour the UK. He is also an avid sports fan with a keen interest in American Sport following teams such as the Portland Trailblazers (NBA) and the New Orleans Saints (NFL).
