Head of MediaMonks Games

A sixteen-year veteran in the game industry, Sander van der Vegte knows how to build games inside out. As Head of MediaMonks Games, Sander advises major brands, IPs and agencies in the production of new games and IPs. He has led the production of various celebrated games for clients such as Activision, Google, LEGO and Old Spice. With Destiny: Planet View, Sander was involved in the production of CSSDA’s Entertainment Site of the Year. Planet View was also nominated for both the FWA and the Awwwards Site of the Year. His latest hit is O Brasil Inteiro Oja, an integrated content and gaming platform for Google that includes 42 original minigames (played 1.8 million times in the first week).

Sander started working in games as developer and game journalist. He then founded and directed a number of game studios, including Green Hill and Coin-Op. Sander left Coin-Op in February 2014 to become Head of MediaMonks Games. Under his direction, MediaMonks in-house game production outfit has grown by a factor of three to include over 30 dedicated Monks.

MediaMonks Games unlocked its own achievement this November, as the most playful proposition in the global creative production company celebrated turning ten. During this time the industry has gone through its own transformation.
