Simon Specka

Simon Specka (28) is the cofounder and CEO of ZenMate. He studied Innovation Management in Great Britain and Economics in Germany before founding ZenMate in 2013 with Markus Hänel (27). Along with his team, he is passionate about maintaining the freedom of the internet and protecting people’s security online.

ZenMate is a security tool that encrypts your browsing data, hides your physical location and IP address, allows you to unblock geographical restrictions, provides WiFi and hacker security, and protects user privacy. ZenMate acts in a similar way to a VPN connection, but distinguishes itself with its ease of use and speed. The tool is available on Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, iOS and Android, with other products planned for the future. It won the Europas Award for Best Security/Privacy Startup of 2014 and has so far been downloaded over 8.5 million times in 180 countries.
