Talat is a feminist campaigner and works as a political researcher. She has worked in a variety of campaigning roles on women's social justice, education, mental health and international development.
She is the co-founder of the Women 5050 campaign, fighting for 50% representation in the Scottish Parliament, in local councils and public boards.
