Whitney joined the Education Policy Institute as Senior Researcher in 2017. She graduated with an MSc in Social Epidemiology from UCL in 2015. Whitney has previously researched the impact of stigma and discrimination on the well-being of people living with HIV in the UK and the health effects of economic transition in Eastern Europe. She has also worked on a campaign to promote reading for enjoyment among children and young people in Cape Town.
