On our first trip to Dublin, I decided to take along my dad, and both my children. Karam who is eight and Jeevan who is six, were delighted to be going abroad with their Nanaji (Punjabi for granddad).

Getting to Lagacio Mountain Residence might have taken me all day in travelling but it was definitely worth the trek. I flew from Glasgow to Gatwick, Gatwick to Verona. From Verona Airport I caught a cab to the train station, where I caught a train to Bolzano, a two hour journey.

School summer holidays in Scotland start end of June. We have six weeks to fill with fun things to keep the children occupied. First short break of our summer holidays we loaded up the car, and headed down to Kelso, for a two night stay at The Roxburghe Hotel.

For our first ever trip to Ireland we opted to go to Belfast. A double treat as it was also the weekend that MTV Titanic Sounds Concert was taking place, and also the launch of the brand new sparkly Titantic Museum.
