Bob and Jim first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1994 in a play about violence against women in which Bob and several other boys enacted a choreographed sexual assault upon some of the prettiest girls in the 5th year whilst Jim provided a moody soundscape on his Yamaha. In 1998 they returned to the Fringe in a two-hander comedy play and were advised to become a double act and perform on the comedy circuit. Three years later they got round to it and gigged fairly extensively on the stand-up circuit from 2001-2003, reaching the final of the Hackney Empire All Star Talent Quest and the semi-final of So You Think You're Funny among other things. Then they stopped for several years for various reasons and Bob became an actor and Jim became a teacher. A special one-off Audience with Bob and Jim in 2007 left the world clamouring for more and in the summer of 2008 the duo set off to travel the length and breadth of Britain as research for their radio series 'From Land's End to John O Groats: In the Footsteps of my Grandfather's Motorcycle'. Finally, in the springtime of 2010, Bob and Jim returned to live comedy with renewed vigour. In October of that year they began their popular monthly residency at The Cavendish Arms, Bob and Jim's Sunday Best. Their Edinburgh shows at the Underbelly, 'Modern Urges' (2011) and 'GO' (2012), were well received by critics and audiences. They return to the Underbelly this year with their new show, 'Two Stars'. Bob and Jim continue to gig throughout the land at comedy clubs, music festivals, embassies and corporate events and were recently invited to perform in Hamburg, which marks the first date in their European tour. They are in talks about various TV and radio projects and have a lovely agent called Hollie at Mike Leigh Associates.
