Cordelia's been telling world news to the 'hassled mums' watching ITVs breakfast show for nearly ten years. As a mother herself, she splits her time between hostile environments and soft play zones.

Cordelia was one of the first British TV journalists to report from the disaster zone on the Japanese Tsunami and one of the last to leave the area after the meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear plant. During the UK riots last year she and her cameraman rescued a woman trapped in a burning building as the camera rolled. Her coverage of the riots Belfast the year before broke new ground, showing ten year old child rioters making petrol bombs.

Cordelia also spent three years as GMTV's US Correspondent reporting from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and questioning President George W Bush at the Whitehouse. She interviewed Tony Blair on his final trip to Washington DC as Prime Minister as well as Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise.

In fact since 2003 when she was embedded with the British military as they rolled over the border into Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Cordelia has been reporting from some of the world's most hostile environments.

Recently she has also been focusing on parenting issues. Earlier this year she exposed the closure of large numbers of government funded day care centres in spite of assurances from the Prime Minister that they would be protected. In April she traveled to Athens to meet the orphans of Greek austerity: the children abandoned by their parents because of the financial crisis.
