Fancy being crowned the "Taste Master" of Western Australia and spending six months travelling around the State sampling some of the best food and wine on offer? Tourism Australia, together with Tourism Western Australia, are running a competition to find the best candidate to take on this role. The person who will fill these shoes will need to have a passion for good food, writing and be able to engage on various Social Media platforms.
Western Australia has become a haven for some of the best food and wine that Australia produces and it is becoming a hot spot for food lovers from around the world. The "Taste Master" will experience a diverse range of foodie adventures from diving for lobster to foraging in the outback for "bush tucker". Blogging along the way and sharing their experiences the "Taste Master" will also be eating and sampling wine at some of the best restaurants and wineries in the State.
For the last 4 years I have been invited back to Western Australia to speak at various conferences on the work that I am engaged in at San Patrignano. Every time I leave I am reminded of how friendly and welcoming the people are there and also how outstanding the food and wine is. I am sure that the "Taste Master" will leave with the same sentiments after their 6 month assignment. I often think that I have one of the best jobs in the world but the opportunity to be appointed as the "Taste Master" of Western Australia definitely comes close.
