You probably already know that working out is great for both body and mind, as exercise releases endorphins. These powerful brain chemicals trigger positive feelings that help to control stress, manage pain and stay focused.

Time to Focus

Yet being disciplined with your health and fitness has far-reaching implications across every other aspect of your life. Keeping to a fitness routine not only improves your physical self, it also provides mental stimulation and strength on a grand scale.

For example, many of my clients describe feeling exhausted before a workout and lacking in motivation. When they make the effort to exercise, they feel totally energised with a renewed sense of self-belief.

Saying 'yes' is often more difficult than saying no, but the effort pays off. It's actually common to feel more tired and sluggish when you don't exercise or when you take a break in your normal fitness routine.

The feeling we get post-workout triggers a cycle of positivity that leaves us better equipped to embrace the opportunity in all parts of our lives.

Confidence Boost

The fact is, confidence plays a huge role in how our lives play out. The confidence you gain from fitness and feeling you are in control of your body leads to more confidence in every aspect. And it's a double whammy, as an increase in energy levels means you can spend time concentrating on the things that matter, including family, work and being an all-round positive person who others enjoy being around.

When you workout with a Personal Trainer, the workout for your mind is intensified. That one-on-one focus and attention bring your mind and body into the present, making sure all of your energies are channelled into the end goal. Exercise requires you to be assertive over your own body and push yourself to your limits every time. When you have the feeling that anything is possible, life takes on a whole new meaning.

Don't Stop Believing

Don't underestimate the power of self-belief. When you achieve amazing results with your fitness, it also gives you the belief to take on other challenges. Seeing even the smallest changes in your body week in week out and proving to yourself that you have the motivation to see your exercise routine through and reach your goals is a great feeling. It also proves that you can channel that motivation and energy into every part of your life.

In order to succeed, you need to put in the effort on days when you really don't feel like it. And being able to overcome those feelings simply empowers you with more self-belief and motivation to reach the next big goal.
