Turning 35: What I'd Like To Achieve

As much as I would love to be able to deny it, life is moving quickly. Now that we've reached September we're officially in the month that I turn 34. That means in 365 days I'll be in the month I turn 35 - a proper grown up age!

As much as I would love to be able to deny it, life is moving quickly. Now that we've reached September we're officially in the month that I turn 34. That means in 365 days I'll be in the month I turn 35 - a proper grown up age! I know lots of people will say it, but I honestly don't feel like I have been a functioning human for that long - how I'm allowed to manage a household and hold down a full time job I really don't know - BUT IT'S HAPPENING!

So with a midlife crisis just around the corner I thought I would write a little list about what I hope to achieve before I turn 35. I'll be honest I don't like to put too much pressure on myself so these are only things I hope I'll be able to do, rather than things I'll be sad if I 'fail'.

I should point out that these are fun wishes and nothing serious. Also if you do make a list and you don't manage to achieve everything on it, don't use that as a reason to beat yourself up. Think of it as a thing you would like to achieve and take it from there.

Rehaul My Blog

My blog has looked much the same as it does now since it launched years ago. I love having my own little blog so a makeover is definitely in order. The problem is that I can't do it myself so I need to have a look for someone to help me with this - which I keep putting off! So I think over the next 12 months I would like to have a look at changing the way my blog looks.

Learn a New Skill

Perhaps unsurprisingly it has been a long time since I studied a new skill - school is a mere distant memory. It'd be really great if I could find something new to learn and bag myself a new qualification. I had a look the other day and there are few online course options so maybe I'll sign up to something in the new year and learn a new talent online.

What I like about the internet is that it opens up whole new worlds. I didn't know the first thing about being a blogger before I became one; it's like a massive learning curve. However as much as learning new hobbies are fantastic it's also handy to learn new actual skills - so for example if you want to study for a new career you can. I'd love to learn something new in the next 12 months and help progress my career, so fingers crossed!

Go Somewhere New

I have seen lots of the UK but there's still plenty I haven't seen. Between now and next September I would like to visit somewhere I haven't been before. Thanks to blogging I have people I know up and down the country so hopefully I'll have someone to have dinner with no matter where I go!

Tell me - what would you plan if you were making a bucket list for the next year?
