Dominic Davenport is founder and CEO of Escape Studios.

After graduating with a first-class degree and MA in Fine Art from Chelsea Art School, where he won the Henry Moore Prize, Dom worked for leading VFX studios Glassworks, Double Negative and Me company.

From his own experience, Dominic realised that a skills gap existed between what universities were teaching art students and what the professionals expected from graduates. Dominic decided to bridge that gap. He called his new project Escape Studios. A place where artists would get focused vocational training in the specific practical skills needed to work in CG. The rest is history.

Escape Studios is now the No.1 VFX school in Europe. And while his vision is now much broader, Dominic’s simple aim – to ready artists for careers in the computer graphics industry remains.
