Having qualified in medicine at the London Hospital Medical College in 1977 David Edwards then worked in hospitals in Chelmsford, Cambridge and Bristol, trained in General Practice in Tetbury, Gloucestershire before becoming a General Practitioner in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. He has a post graduate degree in Medical Anthropology. At present he combines part-time family medicine and is a Specialist in male and female Sexual Dysfunction undertaking clinics, research, advisory boards, lecturing, writing and media work, including BBC1 (Panorama), Ch4 (Embarrassing Bodies) BBC3, BBC Radio 4 (Women’s Hour)and numerous local radio stations . At present he is president of the British Society of Sexual Medicine and has been on the scientific committee of several international sexual conferences.
