Dr Davina Deniszczyc is Head of Physicians and Diagnostics at Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, and is an expert in evidence-based health advice, preventative medicine, health concerns and wellbeing programmes.

Nuffield Health provides expert, joined-up healthcare defined by and created for UK health consumers. It is independent of Government, has no shareholders and reinvests its surplus to improve facilities and provide public health education. Nuffield Health provides advice on individual health and fitness through initiatives including its 12-point Health MOT. For more information visit http://www.nuffieldhealth.com.

Dr Davina Deniszczyc completed her medical degree at The University of Manchester, graduating in 2003. Her fascination with science and interest in people made her step into GP training an easy one. In 2007, her dream was realised, as she gained membership to the Royal Colleague of General Practitioners. She completed part of her training in Western Australia, adding valuable medical experience and an awareness of cultural difference to her portfolio.

After qualifying and setting up her own freelance locum business, Dr Davina frustrated with the lack of resources and inadequate focus on preventative medicine in the NHS. The bright lights of London called to her in 2009, and this is where she found Nuffield Health – finally, an employer who shared her passion for preventative medicine. She was seconded as London Clinical Lead within the year, and a swift promotion to the post of Professional Head of Physicians followed.

She lives with her partner and two cats, Panthro and Alvin (1980s Childhood!), in North London and is often found grinning and covered in mud at music festivals, where she volunteers as a GP. Dr Davina is proud that she trekked the Bolivian Altiplano, afraid that she nearly died white-water rafting and embarrassed that she loves The Only Way is Essex.
