For Those Outraged That Farrah Abraham's Seven-Year-Old Daughter Posed In A Bikini

It is easy to forget that behind every Instagram photo is a real person - in this case two, a mother and a daughter - and all those feigning concern over Abraham's daughter's welfare should take a second to think about the impact of their comment on the little girl in the photo.

Farrah Abraham has shared a photo of her daughter that is causing outrage.

The photo doesn't show her seven-year-old breaking the law, nor is she in a perilous situation, she is simply having fun at a swimming pool.

Yet, the photo below of Sophia posing in a bikini has seriously upset a lot of online commenters.

The photo was posted on Sunday 21 August and Instagram users wasted no time in leaving a slew of hateful comments - some about the girl's appearance, others criticising the mum for sharing the photo, with some going so far as to call for Sophia to be removed from her mother's care.

"Ugh this is literally kiddie porn for pedophiles," wrote one irate commenter. "I have a nine-year-old daughter I would never ASK her to pose like this. It's horrible you should be ashamed."

But this is not child porn - this is a photo of child having fun, which was shared by her mother.

As Sophia's mother - it is Abraham's choice whether or not to share photos on social media. Some parents love to share family snaps on social media, others don't - this is their prerogative.

On the other hand, as a social media user you are well within your rights to find endless family updates tiresome, but why some people feel the need to publicly criticise a little girl's outfit and to body shame her, is beyond me.

We become self conscious about our bodies young enough as it is. By policing little girls' behaviour and outfits we're only going to make this process start at an even younger age.

It is easy to forget that behind every Instagram photo is a real person - in this case two, a mother and a daughter - and all those feigning concern over Abraham's daughter's welfare should take a second to think about the impact of their comment on the little girl in the photo.

Sadly, this is the real danger of sharing photos of your kids online.
