X Factor's Louis Walsh Slates Girl Groups, Ahead Of 4 Of Diamonds' Return

Well, that's awkward.

Louis Walsh has admitted he doesn’t like working with girl bands… just days after it was confirmed that he would be mentoring girl band 4 Of Diamonds for the rest of their time on ‘The X Factor’.

Earlier in the series, Louis came under fire from viewers for giving novelty singing duo Bratavio a spot in the live shows, ahead of fan favourites 4 Of Diamonds.

However, the girls have since been thrown a lifeline, following the impromptu exit of Brooks Way via the back door, and they’ll be back on the show in Saturday’s (15 October) live episode.

Louis has since admitted that girl groups aren’t usually his thing, telling Yahoo UK: I don’t particularly like working with girl bands because it’s very hard to find a girl band that all get on.”

O...K.

While Louis has previously managed the likes of Boyzone and Westlife, his time looking after girl groups has been slightly less successful.

After Girls Aloud triumphed in ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ back in 2002, he briefly served as their manager, though the girls eventually gave him the boot.

Band member Cheryl Fernandez-Versini later told Marie Claire: “Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it.

“We didn’t talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque. Literally, we didn’t have management.”
